  • Our unit is about a month old. The feeder does not work unless there are batteries in it. So we put batteries in and now something is draining the batteries. I have to replace them weekly. Very costly. Something is not right. Its not working without batteries and draining the batteries when I put them in. Can you help?

Please check if the power cable and the outlet are working properly. The feeder needs to be plugged in to use the app function and it's not recommended to use the batteries alone for a long time.

Contact us via support@wopetshop.com if it's still not working.

  • Can you set up a port routing so the phone app will work while you're away to monitor that the feeder is still working? We're going on a 7-day trip and have purchased a large water device and this programmable feeder. Would like to ensure that it's working other than having our neighbor stop over. Was hoping she'd just have to check mid-week. Thanks.

For the feeder, you can check on the feeding records to see if the feeding is working.

If feeding is fail, you will receive a message about it.

The feeder only supports 2.4 GHz wifi, and as in your case, normally it works.

When only battery-powered, it will go into sleep mode and some functions will be limited: 1) the voice recording will only play once before feeding the pets, but not during feeding. 2) the feeder's Wi-Fi connection will be disconnected and all the operations on the App will be unavailable. These are designed to save battery energy to ensure that the pet feeder can keep working for a long time.
